I had a long arm business in Houston 6 years ago and Had a fire so no more business and almost no more me. Why ladies think they have to give their quilting away is beyond me. Your clients will pay for your experience and knowledge if you present it properly. They know they are taking advantage of the situation and do not appreciate you for it. If you run your business like a business by being prompt, do good work educate your self to current trends, and use contracts, word of mouth will bring you all the business you and as many people you can train to help you. Jeffrey is the big winner. I must say though that his collection really surprised me. It was a lot "softer" and more polished than I thought it would be. He did really well. I loved Uli's collection and thought that Laura's was very nice but a little expected. Michael's? UGH. Now I have to wait for a while until the next Project Runway.
